Skyjacker Wins Again!
Skyjacker Suspensions is always up for a challenge. When we were contacted by Jeep to participate in their First Annual Camp Jeep 4X4 Build Off against Superlift, our design team said 'Bring it on'. With a budget and a plan set, the crew went shopping. We know from experience what it takes to build an eye-catching vehicle that not only has style, but functionality as well. The base of our design started with a Skyjacker 4" suspension, Hydro 7000 series shocks, and a 7000 series steering stabilizer. We surfed the internet, looked in off-road magazines, and contacted prime jeep accessory suppliers to find the rest of the items on our 'wish list'.
The plan from Jeep was for each team to customize a 2007 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon. The transformation would take place over the duration of the 3 day event which started Thursday July 26 and ended Saturday July 28. The goal behind the 3 day build off was to show Jeep JK owners how they could outfit their vehicles to suit their personal lifestyle. By building the Jeep in stages, it also allowed each team to show onlookers how most Jeep owners transform their own vehicles.
At the end of the build the people were allowed to pick the winner. Saturday night, at the beginning of Jeep Jubilee, the crowd was prompted to cheer and applaud for their favorite team. The winner was clear and the hard work paid off as Skyjacker came out on top.
